Another sian day today... Sigh.
After playing basketball yesterday, we went to plaza a while, mainly to play some arcade. As we were about to leave, we spotted a couple of primary school kids fighting. Let's see. I think they should be around primary 4 to 5. One of them was pinning another to the ground and punching him. The fighting was only resolved when a security guard intervened.
Well, call me lame if u want, but I am really wondering now why kids nowadays like to resort to violence so much. I mean, if they do it at home, it does not matter as much. Most of us use violence at home in one way or another anyway. But please note that they are fighting in the middle of a shopping centre. A shopping centre! And a security guard had to stop them from killing each other.
Ok, u may think I am exaggerating here. But the way they are fighting, is... unbelievable. They look like gangsters in gang fights, just that they are smaller in size. Though I don't think they post much of a threat to me now, I shudder to think what they will be like in future.
Just today, I caught an article in the newspaper. It is about a teenager being sentenced to 24 strokes of the cane. It also said that at the age of 10 he was into drugs and at 14, he was part of a gang. This time he was caned for armed robbery of 3 taxi drivers.
I don't mind admitting that I use violence sometimes, but at least I had more sense than to fight in public.
Anyway, I am going to buy next year's textbooks tomorrow. I also don't know why they scheduled it to so early this year. If I remember correctly, last year's purchase of textbooks was much later. LOL.
