Give me a Break!

Class party at Zeke's last Friday! His rooftop is really nice. I arrived just as they were setting up the makeshift BBQ pit. After checking out who else is already there, I joined Ben and Gao Tian in fanning the flame up (erm, is there such a term?) Anyway, took some time to really get the flame going. It was at times hilarious to see the flame dying away after we shifted some charcoal here and there. But at times it could get irritating as well. In the end, we settled for 2 fire spots (instead of the intended 4) although both were concentrated towards the right side.

Anyway, the first batch of hotdogs were really screwed cos the charcoal pieces weren't placed properly and some actually came into contact with the hotdogs. After adjusting the charcoal, another problem arose. Since the flame was concentrated to the right, it meant that those hotdogs on the left were taking a longer time to cook. Thus, those at the right became a bit burnt. This pattern was to be repeated for subsequent batches of hotdogs and chicken wings .__.

After eating some of the stuff we BBQ-ed and camwhoring a bit, I laid down and sort of stargazed while enjoying the light breeze. With the speakers playing nice music just beside me, I swore I could had fallen asleep! Talked to Joy a bit and I attempted to teach her how to play the "4-6-4-6" game (the actual name is Playman Summer Games 3) on my handphone. When the iTouch fails you and goes out of battery, it's time to fall back on this game that was sooooooooo popular when we were in Sec 4. =D But erm let's just say I wasn't a good teacher and Joy didn't really succeeded in completing the game. HAHA!

Overall, it was quite a great way to relax, especially after such a looooooooong week. Recruitment interviews on Monday, H3 on Tuesday and Friday and Interact on Wed and Thur. And what's worse, this pattern is to repeat itself for the upcoming week, only that I will have banner painting on Monday instead. Not to mention all the sickening tutorials that are getting more and more cheem. Bleh.

Ok I know I tweeted about this just now, but not everyone has Twitter. So yea...

Was clicking through the messages on my old phone this afternoon. Suddenly I realise how much more friends I had in sec 4 who texts me. And that's not even the peak period! I remember in sec 2, I can easily send over 1k messages. At that time, there was no such thing as unlimited SMSes for student plan so I always got scolded by my mom. But as I moved on to upper sec and subsequently college, I realised that sometimes I even find it hard to hit 500 messages although I got unlimited now.

Life's so unpredictable. It's like back in sec 2, I was trying very hard to keep within the 1k limit but right now, I am trying to send as many as I can. A drastic turn of events, don't you think?

Awesome OCIP Batam and even more awesome tripmates! =D Really had fun there and I didn't regret going there at all (at the expense of math test and holiday homework). I really miss Batam! When I woke up on Friday morning, I was like half-expecting to see Teck Seng, Zhi Kan and Hansen on the same bed as me LOL. Oh well. =( Oh and I love the HTHT sessions with the guys!

In general, these holidays had been rather well-spent. Not only did I caught up with my HK trip friends (though I only went for 1 of the 3 outings), I also had a really fun time in Interact. This OCIP Batam is the perfect example. If there's any regrets, I would only regret not playing basketball more frequently and not doing homework diligently. OH I KNOW! This could be my New Year resolutions! Speaking of which, I haven't really thought over it yet. So here it is.

Goals for 2010

1. Do homework more diligently.
2. In relation to #1, cut down on play time.
3. Give my all for Interact for the next half a year.
4. Mug earlier for Block tests and prelims.
5. Try to workout at least twice a week.

Ok I can't think of anything else. Shall add more when I can think of it =D.

And yea, I am so gonna screw my Math test haha.

Bye world!
