I think I really lost my drive in npdp. I wasn't even feeling proud that I got to wear number one uniform today, even if it's only for 5 min. Whatever lah. NPCC HQ is stupid. And so is firdous. Flag bearer contingent small so what? Means you can scold one by one meh?

Apart from this loss of drive, something else had been bothering me for the past few days. Time really flies, I guess. 8 apr is just round the corner. Hah. That's the day I am supposed to move in to the boarding school and carry on staying there for 3 weeks. Come to think of it, it's just next sunday! Argh. From now on, I shall start cherishing home and of cos, my bed! =D

Project's day prelim next thurs. Need to buck up. And I was told I was nominated for some ong teng cheong leadership thing. anybody who know what's that, pls tell me. XD

Seriously, some telephone operators really have attitude problems. When I went to call up bowling centres just now for UGBC, some bowling centres (shall not name here) really have no service standard. Where did all that talk about Singapore's service standard go to? Here's a good example. The conversation went something like this.

Me: Hello. I will like to enquire whether there are any booking on the 4th of june.
TO (telephone operator) : 4th of june ar. Let me check.
After some time...
TO: You can bring 200 people here. No problem.
Me: Huh?
TO: (laughs) What time you want?
Me: Morning to afternoon
TO: What time lah? 1130 is morning, so is 11, 1030, 10, 0930 and 9.
Me: Erm. I just want to know whether there are any booking made already.
TO: You call me up then tell me cannot confirm time. What organisation you from?
Me: Uh-huh...
TO: You needa tell me cos I got something on for that afternoon.
Me: Oh. Something on for that afternoon?
TO: Ya.
Me: Then never mind. Bye.

I know it sounds lame here. But I feel like bashing that guy up! Zzz...

Let's change topic. Recently, there are quite a number of newspaper reports on the scraping of the TAF programme in schools from next year onwards. For me, I personally believe that the TAF programme is extremely useful. And yes, I won't mind admitting that I was in the TAF programme. Happy? Anyway, without it, I won't be the wen wei I am today now. U guys should probably see my P6 photo. I won't post here cos of the obvious reason. That's why a lot of my primary school friends said I changed a lot and they find it hard to recognise me. Hah.

Ok. There was something else I wanna blog about. But I kinda forgot. Bad memory. Shall end here then.

Letting go, more difficult than it seemed.

Hah.

Been slacking since this morning. But who cares man. It's sat! =D

Anyway, supposed to be going out with timo and bean today. But it's kinda cancelled. So, I am stuck at home now. )= But nvm. They say they may be going on tue.

So, a review of the whole week.

Monday
Can't remember much what happened. All I remember is that that day I had a splitting headache. It was so painful that I went to sleep once I reached home.

Tuesday
Classification shoot! =D Quite fun. And I skipped 2 periods. Hah. But, I only got 73 out of 90, enough to get marskman but lost to a LOT of people. T-T Guess I am not cut out for shooting.

Wednesday
Founder's day. No school but the school arranged for us to go do cip. So, we just cleaned up a flat for some elderly. To be frank, I had never seen a one room flat before. the smallest I had seen was 2 room de. So I was kinda interested in this cip... And yea, they forced me to wash the toilet bowl... Went back to school after this. Poolside service is really BAD. I waited for half an hour for my food. Then went to npdp training.

Thursday
Nothing much. Again, chongll released us chao late. Oh yah. I was the shouter for flag raising for that day. I was like super nervous. So nervous that I was shaking like mad. And people said that my commands are alright but my pledge was too loud. Should had asked someone to record down. Shall do that next thursday. Hah.

Friday
Npdp training was a bit slack. I stoned for don't know how long... =(

Overall rating of the week: 7/10 Heh. A week full of stuff...

Cannot talk much now. Setting up this internet took up quite a lot of time.

Sorry guys but my internet connection is down these few days. Somehow it's a miracle that I can go online now though it's super lag. The singtel guy can only come on thurs. Have to wait till then. Heh.

I know I look retarted that day. But never mind...

One thing off my wishlist! I finally got a RAM upgrade for my computer! Wee! It is at 1.2 GB now. Though it is not that much, it is definitely much faster than the old one. Haha.

Also, I got a DVD rewriter drive. Hence, I can FINALLY record discs now. Wait. I needa ask mr tan to lend me the SYF disc. I know it's kinda late, but I only got the upgrade now...

And guess what? I got a free webcam as a freebie for buying the RAM. Haha. I don't have much use for it now though. But who knows? It may come in useful next time. So, yea...

Oh yah. Just in case you guys are still in the dark, I decided to be the reserve for npdp flag bearer. Dennis asked us to choose between ourselves. Honestly, I think it would be better if they chose. But since that's not the case, I decided to let Sheng Jie go cos I already went for 2 parades last year.

I know you guys will probably say that this one is more prestigious cos we will be wearing number one and will be carrying the school flag. But still, this may be our last parade. I mustn't be so selfish, u know? And, don't go "aww... so wei da" or something like that. I didn't even think of it as sacrifice. It's more of mutual understanding, I guess.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEEL! =D

IT fair 2007 was quite nice actually. It was certainly better than what I expected. XD

As suan tai didn't wanna go, only me, jun rong and kevin toh went. Met jun rong at 12 at city hall mrt station. And I thought I was late! But it turned out that kevin arrived even later, at around 1230. 0.o

So, after walking across the overhead bridge (and the escalator happened to broke down), we arrived at suntec convention hall. The moment we went to the 3rd floor (where the fair is), I was instantly stunned by several TVs placed just near the escalator. They are all used to exhibit the new PS3s and the graphics are like totally cool! It was almost like movies! And the TVs, they were all Sony Bravia and the graphics look even more awesome when shows were played on them.

Other companies's products were also quite good. I didn't collect all the brochures though. I only collected those potentialy useful ones, like Apple, Creative, Cybershot, Vaio, Sony Ericsson. The products totally rock! They were all so cool! But they all come with a hefty price.

The Vaio laptops cost at least 2.4k for 1GB RAM. Ipod Nano was at discount but since I had a working MP3 player, I was not very interested in it. Cameras were quite nice there too. There was a Fujifilm one which has a student price of $199 for 6.3 megapixels. But the design was not very nice though. Phones! I had expected more companies to set up booths but I can only find sony ericsson. There was a new w880i which has nice features. But I don't really like the design. Too slim for me. Heh. Of course, there were others like O2 which I can't possibly afford...

In the end, I didn't buy anything there. Kevin bought a pair of new earphones cos his was spoilt. Jun rong also bought a MP4 player for $68! LOL. After he bought, the conversation sounded something like this.

me: $68? You so rich ar?
kevin: Of cos he rich lah. Jun rong, how much are you left with?
jun rong: Let's see... 140?
me & kevin: ... then you still tell us you bought very little money today
me: very little ar...

Ok. That sounded lame. But I think that's his angbao money lah. Haha. And I was the only onw who didn't buy anything. Ok. I bought something. But not from the fair.

After lunch, we just hanged around the shopping areas in suntec. We were planning to go jun rong's house but in the end we can't find the bus stop which has the direct bus to his house. So, we just went to take the train home. I alighted at Newton and took 700A back.

Oh ya. Just as I alighted from the train at newton, geel smsed me to say she saw some unruly hci boys on the mrt. So qiao! HAHA!

So today was basically fun, fun and fun! Throughout, we were joking and laughing like don't know what. We kept niao-ing kevin, cos he got sunburn. Keep saying "where's the black spot ar?" LOL. Lunch at Pizza Hut was fun too! The soup today tasted superb, something to do with chicken. Can't recall the name. We did some lame things at lunch too. Shall not say them out here. Haha.

The best part of today was trying to find the bus stop which has the direct bus to jun rong's house. We spent 45 min trying to locate the bus stop. 45 min! XD I think the route went something like this.

Tower 5 (where we saw brandon) --> outside --> fountain --> tower 2 ... after some more circles ... --> marina aquare --> millenia walk --> a bus stop.

But guess what? The bus stop didn't have the bus we wanted. LOL. We were laughing like mad! And I kept saying jun rong sure fail geog de. LOL. In the end, we went all the way back to the mrt station which seemed to take a super long time cos of the huge number of people there.

When I reached bpp, I just started to realise that I was literally broke. All I had left was less than 50-cents in money. Pathetic right? T-T Luckily, my Kopitiam card had about $9 left. Hence, I was able to grab something to eat for dinner.

Ok. That's all. Shall blog next time. By the way, this is the first time I am so happy since the end of the dec hols! XD

I was actually feeling quite emo today...

Firstly, try getting dao-ed for 2 days? I think anyone will just feel unhappy. Especially so if you don't know whether you had offended the other party or not...

Then, today I was basically invisible in st nicks.

They all seemed to have their own common topic. Not ONCE, did I hear my name being mentioned. I guess if I disappear, no one will know too. I knew this was gonna happen. Yet, I was too naive.

Over at dry practice, no one seems interested once I talked to them. I am not saying everyone. But most people do this.

I just don't understand. Am I really that socially inacceptable? Am I really that bad?

But well, I am sort of cheered up now. This is all thanks to an article I saw today in "Mind Your Body" in ST. It was about how to be happy.

The st nicks exchange programmme has been on for the 2nd day today. Their syllabus is a little different from us. Thus, I nearly fell asleep several times. But for the sake of school image (quoted from Cyril), I have to make sure I stay awake. Haha.

Basically, we just attended lessons after lessons. Nothing special. So, I shall not bother writing everything now. XD

Seriously, am I that irritating? Why is everyone daoing me? Sigh...

I am still waiting for a reply...
