IT fair

IT fair 2007 was quite nice actually. It was certainly better than what I expected. XD
As suan tai didn't wanna go, only me, jun rong and kevin toh went. Met jun rong at 12 at city hall mrt station. And I thought I was late! But it turned out that kevin arrived even later, at around 1230. 0.o
So, after walking across the overhead bridge (and the escalator happened to broke down), we arrived at suntec convention hall. The moment we went to the 3rd floor (where the fair is), I was instantly stunned by several TVs placed just near the escalator. They are all used to exhibit the new PS3s and the graphics are like totally cool! It was almost like movies! And the TVs, they were all Sony Bravia and the graphics look even more awesome when shows were played on them.
Other companies's products were also quite good. I didn't collect all the brochures though. I only collected those potentialy useful ones, like Apple, Creative, Cybershot, Vaio, Sony Ericsson. The products totally rock! They were all so cool! But they all come with a hefty price.
The Vaio laptops cost at least 2.4k for 1GB RAM. Ipod Nano was at discount but since I had a working MP3 player, I was not very interested in it. Cameras were quite nice there too. There was a Fujifilm one which has a student price of $199 for 6.3 megapixels. But the design was not very nice though. Phones! I had expected more companies to set up booths but I can only find sony ericsson. There was a new w880i which has nice features. But I don't really like the design. Too slim for me. Heh. Of course, there were others like O2 which I can't possibly afford...
In the end, I didn't buy anything there. Kevin bought a pair of new earphones cos his was spoilt. Jun rong also bought a MP4 player for $68! LOL. After he bought, the conversation sounded something like this.
me: $68? You so rich ar?
kevin: Of cos he rich lah. Jun rong, how much are you left with?
jun rong: Let's see... 140?
me & kevin: ... then you still tell us you bought very little money today
me: very little ar...
Ok. That sounded lame. But I think that's his angbao money lah. Haha. And I was the only onw who didn't buy anything. Ok. I bought something. But not from the fair.
After lunch, we just hanged around the shopping areas in suntec. We were planning to go jun rong's house but in the end we can't find the bus stop which has the direct bus to his house. So, we just went to take the train home. I alighted at Newton and took 700A back.
Oh ya. Just as I alighted from the train at newton, geel smsed me to say she saw some unruly hci boys on the mrt. So qiao! HAHA!
So today was basically fun, fun and fun! Throughout, we were joking and laughing like don't know what. We kept niao-ing kevin, cos he got sunburn. Keep saying "where's the black spot ar?" LOL. Lunch at Pizza Hut was fun too! The soup today tasted superb, something to do with chicken. Can't recall the name. We did some lame things at lunch too. Shall not say them out here. Haha.
The best part of today was trying to find the bus stop which has the direct bus to jun rong's house. We spent 45 min trying to locate the bus stop. 45 min! XD I think the route went something like this.
Tower 5 (where we saw brandon) --> outside --> fountain --> tower 2 ... after some more circles ... --> marina aquare --> millenia walk --> a bus stop.
But guess what? The bus stop didn't have the bus we wanted. LOL. We were laughing like mad! And I kept saying jun rong sure fail geog de. LOL. In the end, we went all the way back to the mrt station which seemed to take a super long time cos of the huge number of people there.
When I reached bpp, I just started to realise that I was literally broke. All I had left was less than 50-cents in money. Pathetic right? T-T Luckily, my Kopitiam card had about $9 left. Hence, I was able to grab something to eat for dinner.
Ok. That's all. Shall blog next time. By the way, this is the first time I am so happy since the end of the dec hols! XD
